Ghost in field

This from the person that sent it in:

Me and my ex-girlfriend have recently returned from a great trip in northern England, mainly the desolate, remote and frankly quite eery North Yorkshire moors. I had my new digital camera & took literally hundreds of pic’s of the beautiful panoramic landscapes. Now.. i often capture many ‘orbs’ but this photo is simply fantastic. We noticed nothing at the time the pic was taken, however upon arriving back home in the Midlands around a week later i was scanning photos on my PC when my girlfriend suddenly grabbed my hand and said ‘STOP!’ She insisted i zoom in to the centre left of one particular picture, which id taken of the rather stunning snow covered fields.(The date on the alien/ghost picture is 19.01.2009, time is 14:14).  At first i never saw it but as soon as we zoomed in…. … … we just turned to each other slowly, and quite frankly swore, which i wont repeat. All my friends & family are scratching their heads in awe.

I’ve gotta say, after debunking most of the other ghost photographs on here. This one seemingly looks legit.

Either an incredibly good photoshop job or an actual full bodied apparition that would make Egon Spengler wet his trousers.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hey Mute, this is Jobless Col, i took the pic of this ‘thing’ in the snowy field…

..I can swear that this photo hasnt been tampered with at all except from when i cropped it for a closer look.

Thanks for your kind comment, im expecting lots of HATERS to try and put me down, just like they did on the SUN website. Thanks again

  2. Anise76 Says:

Sorry, am joining the “fake” lobby on this one. The image is too well defined, and the head looks as though it has been overlaid onto the body afterwards, with less transparency on the neck/chin area. The head is also the standard shape of an artist’s wooden dummy, used for posing, and I believe that a picture of a dummy was taken, overlaid with translucent layers in Photoshop, and pasted on top in Photoshop. You can see some areas which could be where the wooden joints/limbs were overlaid.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hey Anise76, i appreciate your welcome to your opinion but you simply couldnt be further from the truth! Im afraid your so wrong, im no genius on a PC, i wouldnt even know how to fake it, there was NO dummy, this is an incredible GENUINE photo, take it or leave it. I still have the original in my camera and would be more than happy to meet and show it to ANYONE on the planet, i would take great pleasure in wiping the smirks off all these NON-BELIEVERS faces, so there my offer i dare anyone to take me up on it. Thank you and respect from JOBLESS COL :O)

      • Anise76 Says:

I’ve left it a little while to reply because I didn’t want to go in with a visceral response to your aggressive reply, JoblessCol.

I appreciate that you claim to have taken the photograph in all innocence. I appreciate that you saw nothing when taking the picture – that is often the case. However, I have worked with two different paranormal research and study groups as their image and video analyst, and was offering my perspective as a purported “expert” – as if anyone is an expert in the field of ghost study!

Is there a possibility that someone could have tampered with the image before you saw it on your PC for the first time? Non-sterile conditions are the most common sources for ghost and spirit fakery. Col, I can tell that you truly believe what you have seen – is it possible at all that you could have been duped by a friend or family member? I’ve done it to my own father, just to see if he could tell the difference between an alleged ghost photo and the real deal (he couldn’t, by the way!)!

It’s not that I am a “hater” or a “disbeliever” – far from it. I am no sceptic by nature, but by conditioning. I HAVE to look for the rational in every picture I look at, and have 8 years experience in image manipulation, in various pieces of software. Do you have an email address I can contact you at? I never leave my own email address on public fora for various reasons, but, if you would like me to take a look at the original image with several pieces of enhancement software, I am willing to do so for you.

  3. Arno Says:

..that is the most effeminate posture I have ever seen a ghost make.

Either this is a proper fake where they used a picture of a male photo model from a fashion catalogue as ghost, or we might just have the first evidence that sexual preferences remain fully intact with the deceased. It does remind me a huge amount of the “ghost in distance photo that’s already on the site though.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi Arno, im the guy who took this incredible genuine photo, im frankly tired now of all the skeptics coming out the woodwork to debunk and slander me, im prepared to show anyone the original in my camera. (read the note i left ANISE, above)
      thanks

      • Garfield Says:

        Hi Col

You say at the beginning that you were using a digital camera and took lots of shots of the snow etc. The picture shows a time and date stamp, similar to what used to be available with film cameras but not, to my knowledge, available on digital cameras.

You go on to say you were scanning your photos when your partner spotted the ‘ghost’ and now mention that the photo is still in the camera.

Was this taken on a digital or film camera? It won’t make a difference to people’s ‘Photoshop’ theories of fakery but if you could get the film analysed it might silence a few critics!

      • Garfield Says:

Ok I didn’t realise that feature existed. I got confused when you said you were scanning but that the picture is still in the camera. I wondered how this was possible if it was film. Never mind!

As for having the picture analysed I would guess Dr Wiseman himself would be able to tell you where it could be done, otherwise somewhere like the Parapsychology Department at Liverpool Hope University would be able to help.

      • Erica Says:

Hi Garfield, just wanted to let you know that digital cameras do indeed have a time and date stamp feature that can be turned on or off, depending on whether you want the time/date stamp on your photos. My Nikon Coolpix has the feature. As for the photo, don’t know what it is.

      • Hater Says:

I hate your photo. It is a sickening, unoriginal, uninspired piece of tat. The only thing incredible genuine thing about it is the size of the man’s lad. Nuff said.

    • Jobless Col Says:

This is in reply to Anise 76, ok then i respect your unbiassed comment so im willing to give you my personal address: colfoster666@yahoo.co.uk thank you

i am more than prepared to go to the ends of the earth to prove my authenticity

once again thank you, please get in touch

      • Jobless Col Says:

Hi Garfield. I dont know what u mean mate really, of course u can get a time/date stamp on new digital camera’s. Yeh this is a digital, which i took the photo on, im getting so so much negativity on here, i really regret posting it now, its caused me more stress than its worth to be frank!!Its a Samsung p1000 10.2 m’pixel. Please tell me where i can get this properly analysed and i swear to god that il go out my way to shut all these skeptics up once & 4 all. Thank you Garfield

      • Jobless Col Says:

Ok, in reply to Garfield… where on earth did u see that i said it was on FILM???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

..Please enlighten me coz i certainly dont remember saying that,

it was taken on a 10.2 m’pixxxel digital camera Samsung p1000

I was flicking through my scenic photo’s on my laptop, thats what i meant when i said i was scanning thru them,

  4. Denis Says:

You guys are totally both wrong! Clearly this is an accidental photo of a new military technology, the “Not Quite Camo Suit” which makes its wearer mildly transparent. Works great at long range, among zebras and on those cloudy nights during a new moon. Unfortunately, they cost $3.5m apiece, break in extreme heat and cold, rain, mild humidity, temperate climates, direct sunlight or an increase in the brownian motion of subatomic particles due to the effect of observation on the quantum plane.

The competition for the military contract is a sheet of dark green cloth with some trees painted onto it.

Also, keep up the great work Richard! Always fun to read your stuff.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hey Denis, thats a very interesting point/observation that you make & one that had never crossed my mind.

I took this amazing photo, as i said in my above comments im totally prepared to meet any non-believer and show them the original in my camera!

I know its NO fake, Thanks

      • Denis Says:

Um… I was joking. I don’t honestly believe that this is some new military tech. Though, that said, I’m hard pressed to believe it’s a ghost either. I believe in God, spirituality, an afterlife, but not in creepy spectres of dead people hanging around. I believe that loved ones gone ahead do care and look after us, but not by returning in any form.

While on the subject of controversial beliefs, I also believe in sentient life beyond our world, just not in little green men and UFOs on Earth. We’re not alone, but they haven’t come visiting yet!

    • mosey Says:

my god, that made me laugh about the army suit. i cant stop laughing,Lol.

    • Jobless Col Says:

This is for Denis, i respect what ur saying, please Email me and we can speak properly, thank you

  5. Jonathan H. Says:

    Real.
I thought everyone knew that not only are Ghosts buff, but they enjoy posing in random areas on the offchance that someone might have a camera.

  6. Terry Says:

Although such sightings have been seen in such remote areas, this looks to be a fake. The ‘ghost’ is too well outlined in this image. Such sightings are usually blur, this image is very sharp.

    -1

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi Terry, as ive said before you’r welcome to your opinion of course, but i took this photo..
      its no fake..

the sad thing here is i just cant win! If its too blur people complain, and when we finally get a fairly clear one people STILL whinge! Im fighting a losing battle i think!!!

      • Miriam Says:

That’s exactly what I was thinking!

You seem to be in a no-win situation. I hope you find a way to prove it’s genuine, once and for all.

      • Jobless Col Says:

,,Hi Miriam Thank u so much 4 ur sweet comment, im starting to regret putting my pic out to the public!!

        ..Big sigh

Anyway thank you Miriam ,take care, i will prove them all wrong (eventually) be lucky chick :o)

    • Terry Says:

Ok, you seem pretty adamant this picture is genuine. If that is the case, then it probably is true.
You say you have the original picture on camera, every time a digital camera takes a photograph, along with the picture itself, it also records the statistical details of the image, e.g. camera name, model, picture dimensions, pixels, bit-rate, ISO, colours, time, date, etc. along with all this information, it will also record if the picture has been edited, or if the picture has actually been taken by the camera.
If you are 100% positive it’s not been edited, and completely genuine, then I am with you all the way.

Looking at the picture again, can you or anyone else determine the actual size of the ghost? is it the same size as an average human, or would you say the size is relatively larger than a human?

I remember, a few years ago, I was driving through some A-Roads in East Yorkshire, (A-Roads between Bridlington and the start of the M62) when I actually drove through a large white figure that was crossing the road at the exact same time we were on that stretch of the road, so we drove right through it, and for the 2 or 3 seconds we did, it went ice cold in the car. Obviously we slowed down to see it disappear once it crossed the road. The car behind us also slowed down – for the same reason.

      • Jobless Col Says:

Ok Terry, that story/comment was much appreciated. Ive had way too much negativity on my photo, i almost regret posting it! But when decent open minded people like you leave fair words like that, its worth while i guess.

Once again it IS REAL. If you tell me how to prove it i will

        Thanks and regards J C

  7. Ady Says:

Jobless Col, where are you from? When you contacted the Sun what did they do with the pic? Did they pass it onto any experts or did they just print it. Have you submitted to any labs to get a some sort of note of authenticity?
The Reason I ask is that if it is genuine and proved to be so then it would quite possibly be one of the best Ghost Photo’s ever taken and would as such I imagine be worth a fair wad as it would have to be featured in any publication or programme worth it’s salt with regards to ghosthunting/paranormal investigation.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi Ady, at last a nice person! Im getting so tired of all these haters! You cant satisfy some people, as i wrote above : if a pic is too blur its a fake, if its clear like mine its still a fake!! What the hell dude??
..Anyway to answer your question im from Wordsley,West midlands, England. The Sun and i am still talking about a payment, ive had not a penny yet, to be frank i didnt initally do it for money,i did it because it excited and scared me! I also felt it really needed to just be shared with general public. How could i keep something like this to mysely?? I dont know what labs to send it to but if you do please tell me and il do it. The Sun used there contancts however & they all say its GENUINE. If you buy CHAT magazine, issue 13 it will there too, there photo experts also proved it true and passed it! So they will publish it as well in a few weeks. Thanks

      • WPW Says:

Maybe faked, maybe not maybe as suggested faked but not by the person claiming it.

Easy to tell, email the original too admin @ open-eye-consulting.com
We have forensic software le will tell us in thirty seconds if it was faked, what exactly was done to it, what pixels disturbed etc.

If it is real (and I want to believe🙂 I will post back with the complete details of the iage and proof that it was digitally undisturbed as it where…

      • WPW Says:

On a side note the time stamp looks very very like Photoshops bad font resolution.

No digi camera would normally have used layer effects from PS on its date stamp but whatever.

      • Jobless Col Says:

this reply is for WPW , i really appreciate ur firm but fair comment

Ok i know its NOT phot shopped or whatever, im too thick for that kind of thing

So in 1 last vain effort to prove that i havnt tampered with it i WILL email you the original right now b4 i go out

Thank you for you’r open mind :o)

  8. Alex Pryce Says:

Hmmm. There is the common, though innaccurately quoted line: Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

Jobless Col. I may be inclined to believe that it is not a photoshop job, but that does not make it a genuine ghost. There are many times I question the validity of pictures like these as something doesn’t taste right.

I’m amazed you spent so long looking at the picture and found a blob you felt needed zooming in on. No ordinary person would see that thing in the distance and feel the overwhelming need to zoom in on it.

If it is a ghost, why is there no facial features, why is it obviously naked and why is it posing like a male model.

There are many inconsistencies with it. You claim that you have the original and can show people, but how can we see the original from the camera via the internet, we’d only see an upload?

You would need to meet people in person to show the original?. Well then, come along to Nicol Edwards Pub on Thursday 19th March (Next thursday) at 8pm. We run the Edinburgh Skeptics in the Pub meeting and have a monthly lecture and guest speaker. There are numerous members of the group who would be willing to discuss this picture with you.

You insist on being able to provide the original image on the camera WITH a time code or similar I assume? In that case, feel free to come along to the meeting.

    Regards

  9. Alex Pryce Says:

My comment seems to have not appeared. Anyway, briefly to recap I guess: Jobless Col.

You say you have the original and can produce it on the camera.

We run regular meetings at the Nicol Edwards Pub, Niddry Street. The next one is this coming Thursday (19th) at 8pm. Feel free to come along and bring the original with you. There will be numerous members willing to discuss the image.

  10. Mark Ribbands Says:

Hilarious! What’s with the sexual organ coming out of the guy’s navel? Bit of a cock-up in the anatomy department there. The fact that the picture is ‘still in the camera’ is meaningless. Photoshopped, date burned in, copied back to internal memory or memory card. Possibly a joke played on an unsuspecting ‘believer’, or otherwise a total wind-up. Thanks for the fun!

BTW, Ady has a point. If this thing were ‘genuine’ we have here the finest ghost picture ever taken. Funny that.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Ok Mark fair enough, i took the photo myself and havnt tampered at all. But it seems i cant prove its authenticity no matter how hard i try!

Concerning the sexual organ, if you look properly you’l find thats its merely snow in background

      This is true

    • tuell Says:

Yeh, I was thinking the same thing Mark, well, but innapropriately, hung spector.

  11. Mute Says:

    Jobless Col,

I saw your photograph when it was originally printed in The Sun. Unfortunately, The Sun’s track record of recent paranormal photographs has been extremely poor. Case in point, a recent image was printed, which I could tell straight away was actually a figure of Anakin from Star Wars. See here for the debunking:

    http://www.badpsychics.co.uk/badghosts/modules/news/article.php?storyid=89

If you could make the original uncropped photograph (direct from the camera) available to people, that would help in explaining things or confirming its worth of genuine paranormal activity.

I suggest either contacting this site and make the original available or host the image somewhere.

Could you please email me the image? – muted.mute@googlemail.com

    • Jobless Col Says:

Ok Mute. No probs. Im going out now but il quickly email you the original. Believe me this is real. Il be on-line again in a couple of hours… Regards Jobless Col

  12. Richard Wiseman Says:

Quick note to everyone – great to have the debate about the pic but no personal comments!

  14. Prince of darkness Says:

There is more chance of that being the Predator on the hunt for prize skull trophyies

    • Jobless Col Says:

      oh hmmm another HATER/non believer i see….

Does the name PRINCE OF DARKNESS reflect that your closed mind is so DIM?? This photo is Genuine, your negative slander only propels me forward in the direction to keep believing myself all the more now. As for the predator niggle..well there are only too many naive/negative Predators on here! If you dont believe then why do you come on these sites?? Hmmm??????? regards & respect from J C

    • J B Says:

Yeah – it must be a Predator type creature… though why he is standing in a field is another matter.

  15. sam Says:

It looks like an art piece. We have also some very similar art pieces in our garden.

  16. Kath Says:

It reminds me of the Willow Man on the M5 in Somerset.

  17. Jobless Col Says:

Hi Kath. can you please enlighten me on this Willow man??

  18. Dave Says:

an excellent attempt, but still a fake, and what is that thing sticking up between his legs

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hello Dave, why are u so eager to call it a fake?

      Such a shame!!

The ‘thing’ near the navel is simply snow in the background, thats all, please look again more closely

  19. Jeggy Says:

by it’s posture, to me it looks like a silhouette of a sculpture, like david or apoksiomen … something similar …

    • Jobless Col Says:

Im not too sure what this sculpture is that you refer to Jeggy,

all i know is that i saw nothing at the time, so had it been a sculpture i would have seen it.

Who knows what it is? All i know is that no tampering has taken place here

  20. youre retarded Says:

stop stalking your photo and replying to everyone who posts

the reason i dont have a job is coz im a carer for a dear family member who cant look after them selves!!!!!!!!

thanks for you’r heart warming comments tho

  21. Mark Ribbands Says:

One interesting point – here and elsewhere people are seriously saying that this can’t be genuine since ‘genuine’ ghosts are exclusively dressed in Victorian garb, are fuzzy at the edges, and so on. Hilarious!

Perhaps photographic technology has moved on?🙂

  22. Anonymous Says:

Can any1 else see a smaller figure to the left, behind the fence

  24. Anonymous Says:

    While I doubt the reality of this pic, I still don’t think it has been photoshopped. The shapes and general looks remind me more of a certain type of “sculptures”, like the ones seen here;
    http://www.wackyarchives.com/offbeat/easy-do-it-yourself-ghost.html

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi annon. This is Jobless Col. Thats an interesting point, ive never seen these ‘sculptures’ before.

      2 questions from me tho:

1: are these things expensive to purchase? If yes..maybe several hundred pounds, then why on earth would some1 pay all that money just to leave it in the yorkshire moors, in a deserted field in the middle of nowhere, with no cafe,no pub,no shop or any other attraction to pull people in?? I cant understand it, especially with all the thieves about

2: The photo i took ,it appears to be floating?

      thanks for your comment tho

  25. Rita Says:

I think the photographer took a picture of someone’s semi-camoflauged art project and didn’t realize it at the time. At least, in the closeup the silhouette looks like a board carved into a man-shape and left out for some time. Maybe its purpose is to keep wild animals away. For all we know the other side may be colored.

The photographer then comes along, zooms on in the area while composing a landscape shot (the man-figure being too far off to readily notice with the naked eye). It was not noticed while the photographer quickly snapped the shot, only later to be discovered and gasped at.

Honestly, I was pretty freaked out when I first saw it, but then as I looked at the close-up it dawned on me what the “ghost” really has to be. Am I right?

    • Mute Says:

He must have used some very special unearthly material for his art project to get that ‘see through’ quality.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi Rita, who knows ? Maybe u have a valid point, to be honest i wouldnt call myself a skeptic or a believer in ghosts. Im still not entirely convinced even after my photo :o)

Maybe you’r right it could have been a ‘trendy type scarecrow’

All im saying is,..and which ive said from day 1.. is that i never saw it at the time, you can tell by my pic that i was a long way off

      Regards Col

  26. Arno Says:

Woah, Jobless Cole, calm down mate. Noone’s a hater. People are sceptic, yes, and for good reason: the claim that there are ghosts, that can be photographed, is an extraordinary claim, and extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Besides, most photos of ghosts etc ARE fakes, or are simply explained through natural phenomena.

And as I said before, I have my doubts about this picture. The posture of the ‘entity’ is just too freaking faked. I mean, look at the angle of the hips! It looks like a model, and not like a posture you find spontaneously in people. It’s that, and the fact that a very similar picture has already appeared on the site, which shows exactly the same type of appearance. That is what raises my suspicions. In both cases it’s a silhouette of a person, featureless, standing in a woody environment. Now, the simple fact that the poster above me shows a very simple “how to” on EXACTLY that type of appearance, makes it VERY likely, that someone made that figure (either you, or someone else), with the intention of scaring the hell out of people.
Now if you did it, then you are speaking the full truth that the image isn’t faked, but are lying about the nature of the appearance. If you did not do it, then you just got properly fooled, like most people probably would if they hadn’t been able to cross the field and look at the nature of the appearance.

    • Mute Says:

“I mean, look at the angle of the hips! It looks like a model, and not like a posture you find spontaneously in people.”

Where exactly does it state that a ‘ghost’ has to stand with masculinity. Perhaps it’s not standing, maybe it’s moving?

And anyway, If you look at the right hip, you can clearly see it come up from the leg to the hip into a sharp point. Which is anatomically incorrect anyway. So if you were to take that sharp point away the figure wouldn’t look as it does, standing with hips kinked out.

Ask yourself why would the faker go to all that trouble of creating a fake and then mess up the right hip when the rest of the body is proportional and anatomically correct?

I believe that this is a genuine photograph. Whether or not its a ‘ghost’ is debatable though.

But to state your argument that it is fake because of its pose, is clearly thinking one dimensionally.

      • Jobless Col Says:

Thanks Mute, if you just read the mail i sent to Rita & Arno, you will fully see where im coming from. Like i say me & my friends are SO intrigued that we’r going back up there in the spring camping, with the sole intention of finding this spot!

And once more if in the unfortunate scenario that we do sadly find some type of dummy/scarecrow then il be straight back on here to appologise.

Before i go..thanks to every1 for there interest and (the kind) comments.

Be safe, peace Jobless Col :o)

    • Jobless Col Says:

Ok Arno, i understand where ur coming from. Maybe i have simply been conned/tricked/fooled, all im saying as i said to Rita (above) is merely that i DIDNT make this sculpture/scarecrow/illusion/dummy or what-ever it is.

Im a grown family man who just loves touring and photography.

I have thousands of scenic pics from all around the world over the years, if this is just a man made ‘thing’ then i just didnt see it at the time due to distance that i was.

The only reason i got the hump and mentioned the haters was because so many people have laid into me real harsh, 1 guy in particular who calls himself YOUR A RETARD & he said some real nasty things indeed.

Theres just no need is there. Im going back to where (i think) this spot is, somewhere in northern England in a couple of months, maybe MAY/JUNE, and back-track my route by checking our diary, I want to see if it is a dummy of some kind or if theres nothing there.

If i do find a dummy, believe me i will be the first to give a full appology. Thanks Col

    • markribbands Says:

Well, Colonel, in most cases that’s exactly what happens with the clothes.

But Roy, I think we will see Christmas-gift knitwear if one goes to hell, where the most egregious sinners will be forced to wear it as eternal punishment.

  31. Ed Says:

The right arm is abnormally long. It looks like it is holding something in it. Probablay a man-bag or something. Otherwise it is the ghost of someone who could scratch the outside of their knee without leaning over.

  32. rachel Says:

weird pic, i’ll give you that. but you mention photographing “orbs” other times as well. look up “lens flare” online and see if that’s what you’re seeing in your photos.

you ghost hunters and your “orbs” are funny. this stuff happens all the time because of dust and moisture in the air or on the lens.

  33. Bob Says:

Dr. Manhattan is not happy with your shenanigans.

  34. Les Says:

Someone once said that the camera never lies. But with digital technology, that is patently no longer true.
However, Jobless Cool is adamant that the picture is genuine, so who am I to doubt it. The perspective is about right but the pose is odd; also, there is a suggestion that the figure may be partially naked – look at the shape of the legs. But I dismiss te suggestion that the head was added later – it merely seems to be looking alertly to its left.
I often wonder if what we describe as ghosts are events which happened in that particular place at a different time, ie we are looking through some sort of “time-gate”. A well-documented case in York some years ago featured a pub landlord who saw a troop of Roman soldiers marching through his cellar. The odd thing was that the soldiers’ waists were at floor level. The floor of the cellar was dug up to reveal a Roman pavement 2-3 feet below it. Worth looking at again, perhaps!

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi Les, thats a very interesting narrative, you reckon i could look that up on Google??
Its so refreshing to have some positive comments for a change, i was getting a bit tired of all the slander

ive heard a similar story of people see’ing ‘figures’ just from head to waist in Ludlow castle dissapearing through walls!!

…like ive always said..just ‘coz we dont believe it, that dont mean it aint a fact, :o) have a nice weekend Les

  35. Ryan Says:

‘shopped or no, the figure appears to be striking a pose that is… shall I say… faaaabuloussssssssss!

  36. Paul B. Says:

Where I live in Berlin there’s a huge gay scene and many of these guys have shaved heads and are into body-building, rather like your ghost. Are you SURE the picture wasn’t taken in Berlin?

  37. lex Says:

This reminds me bit of the cumbrian “spaceman” http://www.ufoevidence.org/cases/case385.htm

  38. Tim L Says:

Is this viral marketing for the Watchmen movie? It looks a bit like Doctor Manhattan to me.

    • jimbofin Says:

Wonderful physique for a dead guy. I’m torn between the Dr Manhattan theory, my first guess, and the artists’s dummy (the shape of the hands fit but the body is bulkier)

  39. Tim L Says:

A side by side comparison of ghost and Doctor Manhattan.

    http://twitpic.com/237bu

  40. ZeroCorpse Says:

Tim L. nailed it: Fake viral marketing or accidental double-exposure of the Doctor Manhattan image, but not a ghost.

  41. Sally Says:

It looks photoshopped, though can’t be sure, of course.
When comparing the two images, some details (brambles, tress, fencing) seem to vary slightly between one image and the other.

  42. Tony Says:

Anyhow, why was the photo taken? nothing special without the spooks.

  43. Simon Says:

Hmm… Jobless Col sells “ghost” picture to the Sun. Guess you’ve got to make your money somehow right?! Seriously though, it is such an obvious fake. Don’t call me a hater though, I don’t hate you I just think you’re having a bit of a larf!

Though I must say that the head looks a bit like one of these mystical orbs I keep hearing about. Perhaps a bunch of them have bunched together to for an AMAZING orb man!

  44. Indra Says:

Having seen the Twitpic, I’ll take this one farther: It looks A LOT like a sketch from da Vinci or Michelangelo. You eagle-eyed art majors out there chime in!

In any case, so fake I almost feel sorry for Jobless Col.

    • Kath Says:

Legs-wise, it looks a lot like Michelangelo’s statue of David, but the arms are wrong.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Dont feel sorry 4 me old fruit, ive got more friends & family than u can shake a stick at, i wont even lower myself to say anything derogative back to u, i dont need to …

  45. AyanEva Says:

I voted “fake,” although the enlarged figure startled the crap out of me and creeped me out in a way that none of the other photos here have. I wanted to vote “genuine ghost” but the artful pose makes me suspicious. If the figure wasn’t posed like that, I probably would have voted “genuine ghost” or “uncertain.”

I actually thought the same thing as Denis up-thread about the camo suit.

Along those same lines, it’s possible that something very strange, very real, and very unexplainable IS there but in that case, I don’t think it’s a ghost. If we’re going with that theory, I would say, “not of this world.”

Eh, maybe I should have voted “uncertain” anyway. I just can’t make up my mind. The more I look at it, the more uncertain I am.

  46. Question Says:

Can someone tell me how to look at the running total of the way people have voted? eg. Real ghost, Fake, Uncertain, etc. I cant find the totals.

  47. b3n Says:

here’s the real problem with this “ghost” it’s not anatomically correct. For example The left arm (stage left) is too long- It’s a full hand and a half longer than the right. Either the ghost was a mutant or there is a much simpler explanation (achem’s razor). This just isn’t a compelling pic as far as evidence- unless of course you WANT to believe, then you’ll take any little piece of garbage and say it’s proof.

  48. neil Says:

That is weird and i can genuinely put no explanation to it unless it was a high-tech, light reflecting scarecrow

  49. rokkus Says:

jobless col… i can certainly see why you have that name. you are insane, i wouldn’t employ you. may i suggest you stop making bad faked ghost photo’s and become ‘gotajob col’? are you not really called richard wiseman? he was the person who sent the photo in! how did you get from richard to col?

anyway, why did you send the photo to the sun and not somewhere where it could be analyzed and explored? were you looking for some quick £ and some recognition? do you know they have magazines devoted to things like this in the states? maybe you should try sending it in there. there’s a lot of americans who will believe a lot of rubbish, just like this, good luck.

  50. Wyn Williams Says:

Jobless col responded to our reqeust to examine the origonals (we do this for the Finnish police sometimes) they are now confirmed fake, the images supplied where not the origonals but they where obvously faked.

We confirmed the time stamp is from Photoshop CS2, he supplied the images taken just before and after but mixed up the days on his time stamp (one said the 18th, one said the 19th) and the images where disturbed on more then one depth level.

He needs to get a life.

    http://www.open-eye-consulting.com

    • Mute Says:

He sent me the images too. Another discrepancy that he failed to see was that he has two different photographs with the ghost in with the SAME timestamp.

This is a fake. See the evidence for yourself here.

  51. Jobless Col Says:

Mute and Wyn, look gentlemen, u r so so wrong , il meet you both tmrw, and show you the originals, lets sort this once & 4 all

..and that goes for all of u, im here, come and meet me or shut up!!!!!!!!

    • Mute Says:

The photos I posted are the ones that you claim ARE the originals.

The second image is clearly just a crop of the first image, yet for some reason there is a timestamp on it.

      You’ve clearly messed up there.

You claim these are the original high resolution photos, yet they clearly are not.

This is a clear fake as the evidence proves. Shame on you.

  52. Jobless Col Says:

Hahaha shame on you MUTE, please feel free to keep hating, ha u just give me stronger resolve to persist with this TRUTH.

As for Finnish Wynish, well… he should be clearly finnished, haha he’s views are terribly soso wrong , so much so that i larf’d out loud :o)

..so did all my family & friends, (who know im genuine)

u really dont have a clue what ur on about, do you?

    ur so funny :o)

  53. Wyn Williams Says:

    Jobless Col

Your mistakes where many and amateurish, the time stamps where just the dumb wannabe famous iceing on the cake.

Oh, please learn how to type the English language, LOL ur hating me😦

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hey Wyn, i can spell better English and Finnish than you my friend, i just abbreviate the words when im in a rush, my IQ will be far superior to you’rs, which i wll soon prove

…besides i came on here just to share my photo with others, i never made ANY claims to see’ing this ‘entity’ did i??? Nor did i say it was a ghost! I havnt recieved a penny in payment either.

The photo is genuine, you claim to have access to the latest high forensic technology, haha well thats a JOKE to start with, you’r high tech’ kit is truly & obviously very very poor indeed

..no wonder the crime rate is out of control in Finnland, if the Finnish police force have to rely on the same ‘ancient and useless software as you do to come to their results, lol

..You started this war on me, i dont hate you or any1 else on here, but i WLL stand my ground to bullies like you. Have a good day WYNFRED

  54. lex Says:

Still not convinced this is a fake, not techno-literate so bear with me.

Is photo-shop cs2 uniquely and absolutely the only possible source for the date stamp?

What exactly is meant by ” the images were disturbed on more than one level”?

On what basis are the nay sayers’ claiming expertise?

  55. MGA Says:

    To No-Wyn Williams

You say, ‘Oh, please learn how to type the English language’, but you’ve got six mistakes in two posts (apart from the obvious ones like ‘ur’)

Tut, tut! People who live in glass houses …

    • Jobless Col Says:

To MGA, thank you so so much, at long last someone who’s not HATEING me, i couldnt even be bothered to justify ‘NO-WYN Williams’s rude comment with an answer!

In fact.. from now on im only replying to the nice-guys

..the HATERS just make me feel sad.

I would love to take an IQ test with FINNISH-WYNISH and blow them out the water, i happen to be of fairly high intellect to be frank, i can spell very well, the reason ive spelled wrong in some posts is merely to abbreviate words when im in a rush to go out.

Once again MGA thank you :o)

  56. Sheena Says:

I voted fake, because it’s too clearly defined once zoomed in. Plus, I’m not too keen on that pose…got some Bruno going on there. Anyway, seems to me that “Jobless Col” is way too into responding to every little message. He has to prove a point…maybe because he has no life other than Photoshop…

    • Jobless Col Says:

here we go again, Sheena lets get something straight shall we, please get you’r facts correct before digging you’r oar in for you’r “pound of flesh”

..for a start im not too ‘way into responding’ at all, if you take the time to check the posts u’l see that in most cases im days late in responding!
..at first i didnt even reply to the haters like yourself, but then i started getting nasty posts ‘accusing the cat of having my tongue’ lol, so do you see my predicament? If i ignore people like you,Mute And Wyn then i get accused of hiding away because i maybe a fraud, but then…when i DO reply to you ‘people’ trying to defend myself and the TRUTH, you STILL whine at me, so there you go Sheena, i just cant win can i?? But you know what.. im not here to fight with ‘muppets’
..im just sharing my unusual photo, and as for you’r personal comments…well theyr’e just cruel and callous, why would you want to come on here & hate??? Maybe its fair to say that you have no life other than computers…hmmm valid point me thinks. If people stopped sending comments so negative then i wouldnt need to defend myself constantly would i.

And just to finish here, id like to say to Grazza64 (below) that i see where you’r coming from with MR MANHATTAN but are you a real photo analyst/expert like the guys in the SUN and CHAT magazine who incidentally have ALL, yes thats right theyv’e ALL confirmed it to be genuine, its in CHAT mag, issue 13 in a couple of weeks, but hey…why should i listen to ALL these SPECIALISTS when i could just listen to you eh??lol Also just to finish on a high note: i should be on the ALAN TITMARSH show today or sometime this week. Watch this space………. :o)

      • Grazza64 Says:

Hi Col. Yes I would consider myself an expert. I’m not sure what qualifies one to be an expert in anything at the Sun or Chat magazine.

I know you’re not going to come clean but I would love to know if I was right with the Vesalius thing or if you used another image.

Anyway, good luck and I hope you make a few quid.

  57. Grazza64 Says:

This is a fake. This image has been doctored probably in photoshop. The ghostly figure looks like an ullustration from the ‘flayed man’ series by Vesalius from his book Fabrica. I am an Art history graduate and recognised the pose instantly. I have the series of prints hanging on my wall and have compared one in particluar to this photo.

Another possibility is it could be a graphic image of Dr Manhattan lifted from the Watchmen graphic novel. Dr Manhattan poses in a similar way to Vesalius’s chap.

I’ve taken Jobless Col’s image and superimposed flayed man. See what you think. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/itwantslager/vesalius.tif

    • Mute Says:

That’s a great example of just how easily you can fake the image. The figure looks just like the ‘flayed man’ you mentioned.

Jobless Col, if you still insist that this photograph is legit, can you explain to me about the timestamps and why they are different?

Also, The Sun and Chat magazine will post any old garbage, regardless if its fact or not. Their so called ‘experts’ are no doubt just editors looking for anything that will shift more copies. If you think The Sun has any worth
whatsoever in ‘expertise’ of photographs then take a look at this article –

      http://badpsychics.co.uk/badghosts/modules/news/article.php?storyid=89

      • Jobless Col Says:

Come on Mute, have a day off mate, i just went out my way to check out those terrible fakes on BADPSYCHICS ,they’r awful, my baby girl could do a better hoax, lol…but you still FAIL to prove how those crap pics reflect on my genuine ghost photo not been real dont you?? Are you seriously trying to claim that just because some idiots have wasted time making hoaxes, that this makes me a fraud??? Tut tut, terrible point Mute.

Thats almost like saying 2 wrongs make a right/./.

Mute, just because you dont believe my photo i hope you dont think im gonna lose faith, ive been paid, and paid hansomely, thank you already. So i dont need to keep up any lie,do i?? What would it gain?? Nothing at all.
Im not sure what you mean by different time stamps, ive just looked at the original and the slightly cropped one, the date is 19/01/09 on both, and both timed at 14:14
Wether you like it or not, its REAL.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Ok Grazza, your second comment was a bit friendlier, Vesalius? I have to admit i dont really know who Vesalius is mate, But im gonna find out asap.

I cant come any ‘cleaner’ regarding this photo, because its not been tampered with, so im digging my heels in deep here in pure deffiance!!

I used NO dummy/model etc, what you see is what i originally took, i believe the ared was Kildale, north york moors, but im not 100% as i toured many miles in northern England during that week.

Thanks again, & just to finish, the Sun have paid me £**** already, so has Chat mag, i was on Beacon radio today also and should be showing my pic on Alan Titmarsh show at 3pm-4pm either today or tomorrow, so please …to all of you out there with closed-minds- ask yourself “why would jobless Col need to keep up the lie (if i was lying)?????????????

Surely i could take great joy in bragging that id pulled the wool over all those photo analysts/experts/specialists now ive been paid, think about it-i wouldnt need to continue lying, so.. just for the road……one last time-, no-one, i repeat.. no-one tampered with my photo,ok??? What you see is what was there.

so il be on my way now, if any haters wanna keep HATING and calling me a fraud, please feel free ,il only be replying to the good guys, over and out, Jobless Col :o)

    • Jobless Col Says:

OK then Grazza. I challenge you to copy it exactly. I remain defiant in truth.

..you say you can do it exactly?? Ok then ,i callenge you…
      .. do it….

  58. Mute Says:

“Im not sure what you mean by different time stamps, ive just looked at the original and the slightly cropped one, the date is 19/01/09 on both, and both timed at 14:14”

Right, so you’re admitting it’s cropped. How can you have a CROPPED photograph of the original WITH a timestamp on it? If it was cropped then the time stamp wouldn’t be visible anymore! Thus meaning, somewhere along the line you’ve messed up by creating a cropped photograph and adding a timestamp to it. You also sent me some close ups of the figure which have very little pixelation, meaning you must have high resolution originals. Not the photographs that you sent me.

So why is there a timestamp on the cropped photograph?

I’ll tell you why, it’s because it’s completely fraudulent. Let’s see if you can explain yourself out of this one.

It sounds to me like you’ve even convinced yourself now that it’s REAL. What a shame to the honest people who have paid you money for this.

    • Jobless Col Says:

‘what a shame to the honest people who paid for this’

haha people in glass houses….. ring a bell Mute? In ur last breath you called Chat and Sun etc ‘no good’ u also said they’l print any old rubbish.. but … listen to u know…lol… ur calling them poor honest people? wtf?
what u playing at Mute?? Ur contradicting yaself all the time mate :o)

Im not not wasting anymore time on non-believers, ul never believe me in a million years, so im finished with u now pal!

on a final note- ur really clutching at straws now with the time stamp. i can zoom in and in and in untill i go right past the time stamp, and right into the ‘ghost/entity’. Whats so difficult about that? Simple

      • Mute Says:

You still haven’t answered my question –

“How can you have a CROPPED photograph of the original WITH a timestamp on it? If it was cropped then the time stamp wouldn’t be visible anymore! Thus meaning, somewhere along the line you’ve messed up by creating a cropped photograph and adding a timestamp to it.”

        Please answer this.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Well you see Mute thats exactly where ur wrong isnt it??

I explained this before to you!

Its so so easy to crop the original while still keeping the time/date on it, date stamp is ib bottom right corner,ok,? am u still with me so far??
In order to zoom & crop an image i simply press my zoom button in to the desired area i can zoom in and keep the time/date if i wish to, i just press the crop button when im happy with it. its as simple as that, the date/time will remain in the cropped picture. (Unless of course i zoom in ‘past the date/time in which case il go in too far and lose the date/time.

      Do you follow me now?
Im not saying ur thick, but you clearly dont understand this feature on this particular model camera (samsung p1000 10.2 m’pixel)

I cant explain it any clearer that, if you dont understand me now, you never will,im sorry.
I hope ur happy, if you still wish to argue this point, i suggest you either meet me and see the camera 4 yourself, or… go to CURRY’S or somewhere similar and ask to look at the same model and see what i mean! , so please for crying outloud untill you do either of my suggestions, PLEASE PLEASE refrain from being an arrogant “know it all”
apart from that, have a nice day!

      • Mute Says:

        Jobless Col,

Its you that doesn’t understand my question i’m afraid.

        Here’s what you said:

“Unless of course i zoom in ‘past the date/time in which case il go in too far and lose the date/time.”

Now, here is your supposed ORIGINAL image and I have drawn an outline of the area you’d have to zoom into to crop it to make the cropped image with the timestamp.

The area you’d have to crop clearly cuts out the timestamp.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Mute, are u playing with a full deck mate?? Of course theres no time/date on that ‘crop’ … big frustrated sigh! Like i said uve gone in too far havnt you old fruit!

..Look im not been arsy, we havnt got off on the right foot have we?

When are you next free? Il meet you for a pint and show you the original!

I f u decline this last genuine offer to sort this out & ‘blow away any Cobwebs’ then thats gotta be the end of it….

…However if you really want to stop squabbling with me then come and see me

..The balls in your court now Mute :o)

    • Jobless Col Says:

Mute, i wont call u thick mate, but im getting tire im keep telling you the same old logic now! Of course the zoom in of the ‘Thing’ dont have date/time stamp, its obvious! Look i have no problem with your oppinions & views, can we please meet? Il download it into your PC, that will (i hope) end any arguments, the balls in your court, and this goes out to anyone.

Im very prepared to meet anyone and prove my innocence, so what do you have to say now??????????

Im not been funny, i just wanna show the public im for real, end of :o)

  59. Lilith Says:

ok, I laughed about the militar technology that Denis told.
    and he belived??? haha

anyway, it is a interesting. I dont belive that is a ghost, I don’t know what is, but it’s funny.

    • Jobless Col Says:

To Lilith………. i detect ur sarcasm, no need old fruit.

Im not entirely sure what u meant by ‘MILITAR TECHNOLOGY’ tho i have to say??? Can u please explain?? What is Militar??

…also if you have ANY intellect at all you would have realised i was in fact been Sarcastic to that guys derogative comment, i didnt really believe it to be ‘some invisible army guy’ haha lol

  60. your daughter Lauren and your Mum Jose Says:

Hello Daddy and as nanny would say hello Col, we have seen your photo and we think it’s fabulous. We are all scratching our heads in awe just like you said. And your photo is just amazing. We all know it isn’t a fake. SIGNED your Mum Jose and your daughter Lauren. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  61. Johnny Says:

FAKE! OH MY GOD! how can you people buy that?! And the man is so worried to defend this lousy piece of s*it…why man? what do you want from all this? please you´ve gotta respect the opinion of the others.

    • Jobless Col Says:

To Johnny…. i thought id met some ‘haters’ on here mate, but you take the prize,by far! From the hundreds of ‘haters’ that have crawled out the woodwork , you are easily the nastiest, and further more you’r the FIRST lowlife to actually SWEAR!! No need sunshine,no need.

Hope you’r happy with Hateing. But wheres it got you? Now-where!

Ive made many new additional friends on here, unlike you there is nice folk out there.

Your attitude stinks my friend. My phoyo is 100% NOT FAKED.

  62. Denise Says:

It’s no enough to be a ghost, you must be a gay ghost to stand like that…

    • Jobless Col Says:

Denise ,denise. How on earth can u say its not enough???? What more do u want?? The ghosts autograph, theres just no satisfying you people,is there???!!

Ive been well paid by multiple people/tabloids, if i was a fraud i Could take great pleasure in gloating about pulling the ‘proverbial wool’ over the MANY EXPERTS’ eyes ,that have deemed my photo 100% GENUINE!

And anyway… are you Homophobic?? Maybe this ‘spirit was gay, do you seriously really mean to say that ‘gay ghosts’ dont exist? But only straight ghosts do?? Come on!

And as the specialists have all pointed out…WHO SAYS HE’S IN A EFFEMINATE STANCE? Maybe he’s walking.

      Open ur mind Denise, peace

  63. Evil Dwarf Says:

It’s a GAY GHOST, yes! So what???
C’mom… it’s for sure a ghost… about it’s sexual orientation, we have nothing to do with that!

I believe you man! I really do!

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi E’Dwarf, thank you 4 ur support ive had a REAL rough time on this site!

I almost regret posting my pic, but the hater’s just keep me going!

      lol, thanks again E’Dwarf

  64. Alex Pryce Says:

    Col

Your comments towards Mute and Wyn are interesting. They have changed in style slightly from some of your other posts. The fact that Wyn and Mute have examined them, and the fact that a time stamp appears on a cropped image suggests a fakery.

I have recreated a very similar image with time stamp in photoshop. Its really easy to do and any school level student can do it. Simply playing around with size and opacity thats it.

You’ve gone from rationally defending your pic, to behaving like a child with your constant use of the word “Haters”

You seem to grossly misunderstand people around here. I am fairly confident that if solid evidence was found to support ghosts Skeptics would accept it. You see its all about the hard evidence, not people wanting to offend and hate.

I’m sorry but the testimonial from people who have examined the pic, combined with your sudden change in attitude convinces me that this is a forgery. At first I was willing to accept a natural, accidental explanaition, but now I think someone, if not you, has tampered with it.

You have only had a real rough time on this site, as you say, because you are not willing to discuss like an adult. As soon as someone takes up a contradictory position (and especially when they totally debunk it) you become agressive and immature.

    • Jobless Col Says:

To Alex, im not sure what to say to your last comment, the reason i got upset (not immature or aggressive) is purely because these people Wyn & Mute have called me a fake from day 1,they call themselves Professionals/experts or specialists, but have you met these people? I havnt, but as you can see from my posts, i have offered to meet these guys & let them download my Photo to their PCs, in any pub or cafe they prefer to meet. Guess what… not a single one of them has the courage to meet up and see the truth, come on Alex..cant you see my frustration.? Its awful when you KNOW your telling the truth yet no-one at all can meet you and prove you correct, its easy for Mute ,Wyn & all the other skeptics to just pop on these sites and claim to be experts and call me a fake. Im not been childish, im just so so tired of been called a fake. If you study my posts properly u’l see that in some cases ive tried to just ignore the nasty comments, but then this guy who called himself YOUR A RETARD’ really laid into me and he & others have asked if the cats got my tongue, because i ”didnt bite”. So thats when i ”did bite” and maybe i shoudnt use the phrase ‘haters’ but im sorry thats how they come across. In future il try not to use the phrase ‘haters’. I also made the mistake of giving my number out so that i could prove my innocence to ANYONE who doubts me, and settle this once and for all, but that backfired!! All ive had is hundreds of with-held calls and horrible texts! Ive had to change my number it was that bad. You see Alex… im not a bad person but i cant seem to do right for wrong. I have no personal problem with any1 on here, just to end this debate (i hope, once & for all) the picture is very real, no forgery. Im sorry you think im a fraud, but im not. Peace

I guess I voted real, although it seemed to perfect, but I know nothing about photoshop. But when the talk came up about cropping, I do feel if something is cropped it would lose the time stamp. So this turned the tables for me. Also we have two guys saying the time stamps aren’t the same, and one guy saying the stamps are the same. So who’s right here, and then again maybe the photos were tampered with again between the first guy seeing them and the next guy seeing them. I don’t know any of you so I don’t have a clue as to who is where on that line. I also agree with Alex Pryce when he states if anyone gives their opinion the col automatically lists them as haters. Everyone has a right to their opinion and the col should be more open minded. Not everyone who dissagrees is a hater, they just have a different point of view. But there are also a few who are rude about their opinion and they could state their side without being nasty. Anyway, it is a cool picture whether real or not. As far as showing me the picture to see if it is tampered with, i am not an expert so nothing would be proved or disproved there. At the same time I still liked seeing the picture.

  66. Jobless Col Says:

To Annon, above.. As i explained before i regret using the word ‘haters’ ,my friend you only know half the story.. i gave out my number on here so that ABSOLUTELY ANY1 who considers themselves experts/specialists in photography could easily meet me and see the originals. Then, and only then would they see how very real this is!

..The reason i ‘BIT’ and used the word haters is simply because (which you dont realise) after giving out my number as a sign of good faith & authenticity, i got hundreds of hateful calls/txts and had to change my fone number! I have offered to meet anybody as a sign of good will to prove that i havnt tampered with the pic, but no-1 has bothered. So what can i do mate?? You tell me.. im in a no-win scenario. As for the time stamp..on this particular model u can still zoom/crop images and keep the date/time in the lower right corner. I challenge anyone to go to a shop and test it for themselves with the same model–Samsung p1000 10.2 m’pixel. Only then will people see im no fraud. This is the real deal. no forgery. Please just test the camera and see for yourself. Really im getting tired of this now. Im sorry once again for using the word ‘haters’ but if you had calls allday upsetting you (claiming to be Wyn Mute etc) would you honestly be able to bite your tongue forever?? Hmmmm i wonder. Anyway i didnt come on here to make enemy’s, i just wanted to share my unusual photo. I never used photo-shop, im not clever enough! Peace

    • Mute Says:

You are claiming to meet people to show them the ‘original’. But really, what’s the point? You emailed me the supposed original that I have posted here. It’s clearly got something dodgy about it. I’m tired of pointing out the facts now, but I will, just once more.

      1. Original photo resolution is awful. A camera of that quality would take a high resolution image, not this. Which you claim is not scaled or recompressed but the actual ORIGINAL – http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/8845/fakeghost1.jpg

      2. The timestamp debacle that I’ve gone over previously on here.

      3. Apparently (although I haven’t personally checked) the EXIF data from the photograph shows that it was edited in photoshop.

      4. Your attitude. If this photograph was taken genuinely, you wouldn’t be on here trying to defend it so much. You’ve stated you weren’t in it for money, then you’ve boasted about how much you’ve received and it’s approval by so called ‘experts’. As I’ve pointed out, tabloid newspapers and coffee table magazines will print anything, so their ‘expert’ approval mean absolutely nothing.

This blog’s purpose is to discuss if these type of paranormal photographs can be explained. Something you should have been aware of before you posted the image. People are openly allowed to criticise the photograph, because you’ve posted it on here.

The only way I can see you redeeming yourself here is to make a high resolution image available to everyone. But even that now is tainted by the events that have already happened.

Look at Grazza’s above attempt at recreating the photograph. Look? It’s near identical! Can you blame anyone for having a sceptical opinion regardless of the other monkey business? http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/itwantslager/vesalius.tif

      • Grazza64 Says:

Hello again everyone. I just wanted to say that the image I made to compare with Jobless Col’s took me between five and ten minutes to make. Another fifteen minutes and I could have copied it exactly.

  67. Lilith Says:

Jobless col said: To Lilith………. i detect ur sarcasm, no need old fruit.

Im not entirely sure what u meant by ‘MILITAR TECHNOLOGY’ tho i have to say??? Can u please explain?? What is Militar??

…also if you have ANY intellect at all you would have realised i was in fact been Sarcastic to that guys derogative comment, i didnt really believe it to be ’some invisible army guy’ haha lol

    ____

No, I was direct, even …

And I see how much intellect you have it^^’
    I was joking😉

  68. Jobless Col Says:

LoL, ok i can see im not gonna convince you. Im also not gonna fight with you, please yourselves;…

But one last time,,,me nor anyone tampered in any way ,shape or form

    This IS GENUINE.

Sorry but ive just had enough now. Good bye and i hope you all have safe ,happy lives. :o)

    • Mute Says:

      What a cop out.

      It’s not arguing, its discussion.

      • Jobless Col Says:

Its not a cop out Mute, be fair mate, i didnt say i was arguing on this site, nor do i want to either

I was simply referring to all the nasty/annoying texts & calls that ive recieved.

Look at the facts… ive bent over backwards to prove my innocence, but i just cant.

Please yourself Mute, ive just had frankly enough now. End of. You’l never believe im no fraud, so im just not gonna waste any more time defending myself. Like i said before, no hard feelings, have a good life, im outta here, peace :o)

Hi Col. Check out these pictures which show just how simple it would be to fake your photo with just the minimum amount of trickery.

    • Jobless Col Says:

ok Grazza, i cant believe ur still coming on here trying to copy my photo and question my word, il give it you tho because yours were fairly close to the genuine image of mine. Only difference is, mine wasnt faked/airbrushed, its the real mcoy. Well ive had a few experts ‘pass’ mine off as genuine, i wonder if you can get yours ‘passed’?? Hmmm hmmm doubt it. :o)

      • Grazza64 Says:

Hi Col. I can’t quite believe it either. To be honest this is all a bit of a laugh to me. I don’t want to help send you on your way to a nervous breakdown so I’ll stop contributing but I’ll still keep an eye on things.

        Good luck

        Graham

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi Gray, ok i can see ur not really a bad person. i really can. And i respect that u almost copied the ghost in the field, good work, my hats off to you, but im defiant that i never faked it. Good luck to you too

      ..peace Gray :o) from Col

  72. richard Hulligan Says:

    Er….Is that ‘Ghost’ naked?!!
And there appears to be a very ‘predominantly’ placed bit of branch in the image….
Maybe it is a real photo… Who are we to presume Gosts would be clothed? after all, it is not their clothes that are said to live on….

    • Jobless Col Says:

to Rich Hulligan..at last someone who’s prepared to open their mind, thanks pal. This photo hasnt been tampered with, unlike grazza’s ”mock-up” i have had my photo seen by experts this week! They proved there was no tampering, and when i see these specialists next week il be straight back on here to wipe a lot of smirks off peoples faces, believe me :o) watch this space peace

  73. Craig Says:

    Finally!!

    Welldone Grazza64!!

I’ve spent the last 5-10mins reading comment after comment when i could have gone straight to this one. Grazza64 has demonstrated how easy it is to recreate.

Jobless has replied incredibly quickly to each comment but when this one completly stumps him, He’s nowhere to be seen? I have nothing against you Jobless but this kinda proves everything.

It does have a bit of a flamboyant stance to it though, lol

    • Jobless Col Says:

to Craig, the reason i havent been on here for a few days is down to personal family problems, i tend to take prioroty with family over pictures, granted tho, grazza did a good ”mock up” but it would NEVER pass A single test by experts would it?? Whereas my photo has gained global interest and HAS been passed by several experts,

and Grazzas efforts dont prove a thing. Watch this space and il prove it to you all. Peace :o)

  74. Lucpar Says:

Truely freaky if real. I have to say that it is a very “GQ” shot. The posture is really kind of funny. It was like the “ghost” knew it was being photographed and gave it’s best male model pose.

Interesting photo, not sure I buy this one. Jury is still out. I am not a disbeliever just not ready to call this one legit. Not yet.

    sorry dude.

    • Jobless Col Says:

to Lucpar, i appreciate your ‘open minded’ views, im currently in the process of trying to prove my authenticity. I wont give up until i have provided solid proof and wiped the smiles away. And then you will see all the people who doubted or/and mocked me ‘go quiet’. Imay even get some appologies. One more valid point from me..if i wanted to photoshop/fake this ghost..dont you think id have simply tried to make a masculine pose instead of this effeminate pose??

      Peace Lucpar

  75. Aven Says:

awesome photo, but it may not be a ghost, could be some new stealth suit technology going on there, or maybe even ET stealth suit tech. anyhows awesome pic.

  76. Nancy Says:

well for me, the picture is genuine. The pose is odd-but it could be that it was caught at an odd moment or during movement. Im sick and tired of people expecting ghosts to look just like real people. THe very fact spirits are spirits is because, Doh!!!!! they have no substance, so any manifestation is going to appear distorted. You cant get mist to take on a totally human form, so ghosts cannot totally manifest into a physical looking being, well not normally anyway-as they are spirit-energy and light.
If this is a ghost-then it looks like some hercules type huge muscly man-some1 real scary like a slave driver or stone mason/blacksmith. Very scary looking-big muscly legs and toned body-u can even see its pecs. If this is an old art project/scarecrow or summing then the person who owns it would have come forward by now-and why would they leave it in such as stupidly remote spot where no one might see it 4 years? or 4 it to get weather damage? It could even be some sort of evil spirit-sounds dumb but hey we’re only human and we dont know everything. The onky other explanation is that its an alien-how many UFO sightings do we have?? loads-especially over the yorkshire moors. Blimey have faith!! not everything in life is fake!!

  77. Nancy Says:

    grazza 64 is convincing tho…

  78. Lilith Says:

    Thank you Grazza64.

    For me enough.
    ^^

  81. Chuzzy Says:

Wow, go ghost! Smack in the centre of the pix and with that skanky pose too!

  82. DeeDee82 Says:

If you look further down this page there is another picture with the exact same picture of the ‘ghost’ on it and when I looked at the sender of the photo it was indeed the same person who sent this one. He is stood on a path in the middle of trees and it is in the background.

Fair enough it could be that this ‘ghost’ took a liking to this young man and followed him, however it seems to me that a ghost who looks like a very heavy statue may not be able to move very far? But hey I’m no parapsychologist or photo expert so dont take my word for it?!!!

    • Jobless Col Says:

DeeDee82, ha ha lol, very funny ,i havnt checked the photo further down the page yet, but i will do soon

and i assure you i didnt send anymore photos in

ive only sent THE GHOST IN THE FIELD

      Peace

  83. Vicky Says:

That is one sexy spectre! Kudos on the appendage!

Jobless, For your peace of mind, I would not take the comments seriously or personally. Its normal for people to speculate and be skeptical on any evidence out there since there are so many fakers. Even if you did not tamper with the picture or faked the ghost – people will still have to question whether there was something in the field that may have caused that image – other than a real ghost.

Look at me… I’m the worse kind. I had paranormal experiences as a child but I’m still a skeptic.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Thanks Vicky, thats the nicest comment ive had

maybe there was something in the field, but has ive said from day 1..no-one tampered with the image at all and if there was a scarecrow/dummy there i TRULY never saw it, neither did my girlfriend

      once again many thanks, peace

  84. Peter Says:

    Hi,

My name is Peter and I’d like to believe this picture is genuine. The more since I once had an encounter with a spiritual visitor very much like the apparition in your picture.
I was staying over at my best friend’s place, which was the front part of a former farm. Since it was a cold winter we closed the window shutters in order to keep the temperature comfortable, since the house was a little rickety. Once lights were out, it was pitch-dark inside; so much so, that if I held my hand two inches in front of my eyes, I couldn’t see it!
I woke up, on a mattress on the floor, in the middle of the night. I was wide awake – I swear! – looking up at a figure very much like the one in your picture, standing on my right, stooped over me; muscle tone a little like the figure in your picture, but no distinct features (it may have sported a little goatee beard, but I’m not very sure of that).
When I tried to touch it, it was gone – and only THEN I realised that, in the normal, rational world, I COULDN’T HAVE SEEN IT!
So yes, I am inclined to believe you.

    Regards,

    Peter

PS: Sceptics please note: I don’t drink alcohol.

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi Peter, thats an amazing story to say the least!

its nice that a few more open minded people have appeared on here now.

ive never seen a ghost, not sure i 100% believe in them, just like UFOs/aliens. But one thing is for sure..i am always open minded

Thanks Pete and take care :o)

  85. EndAll Says:

You having a personal encounter with a ghost does not make this a ghost, too, Peter. The fact that Jobless is so relentlessly defending his image makes me suspicious… I can’t say whether or not this is real, but I personally think it is not.

  86. Paul Says:

    Is it the predator?

  87. Peter Says:

    Dear all,

I have one very good reason to believe in ghosts.
My grandmother (i.e. my father’s mother), long gone now, told me of her own ghostly encounter when I was 14 or thereabouts. She was a woman of great integrity and pertinently not capable of, let alone given to fibbing of any kind. And I even remember that she spoke of it – some forty years afterwards, perhaps – with some reluctance still.
This happened, allegedly, sometime towards the end of the 1930s, to the best of my belief.
My grandmother was busy in the kitchen, one day. . She had her back to the door (which one it actually was still unclear, since there were no less than three in that kitchen; one to the basement, one to the living and one to the back garden) when she heard a voice behind her, calling her by name. So she turned and saw her father in front of her.
Now that simply couldn’t be, since he lived at the other end of the country. And the moment after she called out, the apparition was gone.
It took her a while, understandably very much upset, to convince my grandfather – a tradesman of some sort, at work in his small front-of-house office all the while, one floor up – that she hadn’t been daydreaming. So finally it was decided to make a phone call (one of very few households, in those days, disposing of a telephone connection). What they learned is that her father had passed away – indeed the very minute he stood in that kitchen!
Moreover, all this was corroborated by her diaries, the incident as above described in great detail. Even more stunningly, upon going through those diaries once again – many, many years later – I stumbled on something very much similar but not yet widely known in my family circle at the time.
My father had an older sister, who died when she was six or seven. An even younger sibling had passed away only a couple of months earlier.
One night, both children appeared at my grandmother’s bedside, reassuring her that they were fine.
This might be dismissed as slightly religiously-tinged wishful thinking of a grieving mother (as I’m sure it will be by some), were it not that, once again, there is a very exact description to be found in those diaries aforementioned – even down to what precisely those little girls were wearing – shape, hue, frills and all!
With all this in view, I have no reason to doubt my grandmother’s sincerity. I also had some personal experiences of similar nature in the past, one of which has been offered in the course of this debate.
With all this in mind, I certainly disagree with all those skeptics shouting ‘bunkum!’, just out of hand, at everything even remotely smelling of out of the ordinary. Sometimes so disproportionally aggressive,, as some contributors on this website, that itt really makes me wonder (not for the first time) what on earth they are afraid of.
That some occurrences – like those found on this website, for instance – may be wholly genuine after all, perhaps?
If something seems dodgy, it should be debunked – by all means. No dispute.
But some correspondents on these pages and elsewhere on this website, I feel, make a point of throwing away the baby with the bath water.
My point is this: do we really want to to live in a world in which everything is solely clinically explained and dnything not labelled ‘rational’ dismissed as nonense just like that? That seems the cold and damp fortress most skeptics are holing up in, in my impression; the drawbridge permanently up.
It certainly isn’t my kind of place. For even in a wholly sanitised world, there still should remain some leeway for the odd bits and bobs of mystery and magic, in my opinion.

  88. Jobless Col Says:

To Peter. I just read all you have to say. Well said. Us humans are & always have feared the unknown. Just because we cant explain it, that doest make it ‘untrue’. Regards Jobless Col

  89. gingerspice Says:

that ghost seems a bit excited about something……

  90. kimbo Says:

I totally agree with Peter, the world is full of mysteries and strange goings on and lets face it it would be a much duller place without them. Just because we dont believe in something doesnt make it true. Everybody is entitled to their opinon of course but when those opinions begin to get personal thats when we realise that it the living we have to be afraid of, not the dead! Just for the record i believe you Col!

    • Jobless Col Says:

Hi Kimbo, at last theres a few nice people coming on this site

the 1 guy calls himself ‘YOU’R A RETARD’ and he really isnt nice!

anyway theres plenty of nicer people out there, i have faith. Thanx for you’r support Kimbo :o)

      • Kimbo Says:

Youre welcome Col! As for Youre a retard, no he’s not nice but just dont take his or other proples comments personally, these people dont know you and yet theyre so quick to judge you, i experience first hand a lot of the time people judging me before getting to know me because of where i live and the job i do, i just put it down to ignorance! At the end of the day you shouldnt have to justify yourself to anyone, you know the truth and the people who matter to you most know the truth, thats all that should count! Chin up!

        Kimberley!

      • Kimbo Says:

I Don’t Wish to Disrespect the Credibility of you or your Photo what i was trying to say was the Pose reminds me of some greek statues i saw on T.V Discovery Channel something to do with Olympus i think!

The Picture seems to Perfect what i mean is the Apparition seems Perfect the head perfectly round chisled body like a statue seems inanimate.
i just noticed the Spectral head the Face is looking over its own left shoulder if that Spirit is there it is not interested in your Presence being there unless it is a Vain Spirit and wants you to capture it on film😉

If You believe this image to be real i suggest you find out if any body builders had Lived & Died in that area may have been a Moon Dancer Dancing in the Buff lol!

    Only Joking!😉

Will not question your Honesty about your Photo you know it to be real or fake thats up to your consious.

Do you see my ‘catch-22’ situation? What im trying to say is i really, truly hope this is genuine, under no circumstances have i tried to dupe/con anyone. I simply shared my photo with all people who may be interested, thats it. At times i regretted even posting it. Have you read all the insults i got,due to this?? Pure madness.
I must say that only thanks to kind,open-minded people like you that this was all worth while.
Im proud that people are still commenting on this. Thanks again Unique :o)

Hi Unique…you dont know what a relief it is to have positive comments (from you :o) )
its such a refreshing feeling. Did you suggest i change my name from Jobless Col? The reason i called myself that is simply ‘coz thats what the editor called me in the article in the Sun. Also some haters on the blog accused me of taking myself to serious. So i thought Jobless would be more light-hearted.
Yeah ok..next time i capture a ghost il make it blurred for ya :o)

Thanks again for your kind opinions Unique

I was just trying to be relaxed with you. Please acccept my appology if i upset you. Get in touch, once again im sorry if i came over the wrong way. It wasnt my intention. i APPRECIATED your kind comments :o)

I cant say if it s genuine or not, because me for one has seen some strange things too in photos that I have taken. But THATone can sureley come visit me ANYTIME.. Looks like a hunk to me!

  104. jobless col Says:

hi alice, im glad you’ve taken interest in this report, you wouldnt believe how many negative comments i got from sharing this pic. its no wonder thousands of people dont bother to share their equally odd photo’s from fear of ridicule.

anyway this photo hasnt been tampered with in any way shape or form.

i said this years ago and i will always say this, because its true!

p.s excuse my grammar, my young son spilled a hot drink over my laptop keypord, so i cant some numbers or the capitals button.

    many thanks col

  105. Dave Says:

hi, i would just like to say im not a believer or dis believer BUT how can anyone say what a ghost photo would actually be like and if taken why would it have to be blurry and why would it not be stood like that coz at the end of the day if someone posses in life why would that change after death because i doubt state of mind changes if theres an afterlife.

  106. colfoster@hotmail.co.uk Says:

hi dave, i agree.. i put this photo up 2 years ago, not for fame but to just share such a strange pic!

i have had more negative comments than good comments!

no wonder people are reluctant to share this type of thing with the public.

if i took a blurry ghost people would complain its too unclear, so here i was fortunate enough to get a clear image and people still winge, because apparantly its too clear to be genuine! pfft, i give up.

anyway like i said, i agree with your comments, touche

  109. Annoyed Says:

Oh my…. I don’t really care if it’s real or fake (I do have an opinion, but it’s irrelevant), but SERIOUSLY dude….. You need to understand that if you post something on a site like this, you are opening yourself up to critcism… if you can’t handle that, you shouldn’t have posted. Just chill out.

  110. col Says:

Oh gosh, you say you dont care.. but thats obviously a porky pie (lie) because youve taken the trouble to sit down and write this comment, so you must care a little :o)

Of course your opinion counts but that doesnt make you correct.

What do you mean ”a site like this”? Whats wrong with this site?

and i can take criticism, but surely im allowed to voice my opinion.

I am chilled, you sound stressed my friend.

don’t want to be mean, and maybe this was not the case and it is completely genuine.. but as an illustrator I can safely say that it is easily doable on photoshop. Of course, it is difficult to see if it has been, since the picture is too small.

    • Jobless Col Says:

      @ miz lucas :
Hi i have other close-ups of this pic, it was sent to multiple photo analasys experts, and not even ONE could say it had been hoaxed or photo-shopped, they found no evidence of manipulation at all.

There was another person on here (maybe Unique, cant remember) who also claimed they could duplicate the image, but when i challenged them to do so they faded away from this comment page (lol)

I would like to give you the same (friendly) challenge/task, and ask you to try to copy this. Remember my photo passed all the specialists…so yours also would have to do the same.

Please stay in touch and i will be waiting in anticipation.
      Regards Col :o)

I can see why she is your ex-girlfriend now. There is so little effort put into this sad example of a faked photo that I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be the invisible man in a gimp suite or You due to your transparency.

I do not think this one is fake, YET i don’t think its a ghost. there are people who make wire figures of humans and animals and put them in wooded areas and on the edge of fields, then when people see them and snap a pic, or even don’t notice till after the photos taken, bam they think they have a cap.
